Our Team of Associates is led by Brendan Mc Carthy who provides oversight and direction for all assignments.
Brendan McCarthy
Brendan is Managing Director of Organisation Strategies and Solutions Ltd and a Director of AskHR Ltd. Born in Dublin in 1957 he was educated in Synge Street CBS and University College Dublin.
From July 2001 he has worked as an independent consultant specialising in improving organisational effectiveness. Brendan currently provides coaching at senior management level to a number of organisations. From 1992 to 2001 he was the Human Resources Director of Irish Continental group. In 1998 he took General Management responsibility for the set up and operation of the fast ferry business in addition to his HR responsibilities.
From 1983 to 1992 worked he for the IBEC advising and representing companies (mainly in the finance, education, retail, energy and distribution sectors) and during this period he was responsible for the set up and operation of IBEC’s Management Development and Training Services.
Brendan has also worked in Human Resources for the Institute of Public Administration and Thomas De La Rue plc. He began employment as an Industrial Engineer with Glen Abbey limited.
He is a Certified trainer in Language and Behavioural Profiling and has studied NLP extensively. He has received a Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from
NUI Maynooth and is on the FAS list of recognised trainers. Brendan has lectured in strategic management and business strategy in the National College of Ireland at postgraduate level. He previously lectured on the Human Resources masters degree programs in UCD and DCU.
He has previously been a member of the Board of the Employment Equality Agency and served as an employers representative on the Social Welfare Appeals Tribunal.
